12岁的Archuleta早在2003年的时候就出现在一档名为 “Star Search” 的电视节目上，2007年7月，Archuleta在父亲和姑姑的陪同下， 参加了在圣地亚哥高球场举行的第七届美国偶像海选，并最终一路过关斩将获得亚军，Archuleta是美国偶像史上众多出名选手中第二年轻的一位，仅次于第三季的亚军，年仅16岁的Diana DeGarmo，而最年轻美国偶像冠军的记录依然把持在第六季冠军，当时17岁的Jordin Sparks手中。更多详细介绍请看这里，英文的看这里。

“Crush”是一首旋律比较动听的中规中距的美国流行歌曲，我感觉亮点不多，而且对于一个在美国偶像中积累了旺盛人气的选秀歌手来说，取得iTunes下载排行榜冠军的位置也是在意料之中的。
