早在1999年，Aselin Debison就开始了她的演唱生涯，当时她被要求在其家乡的一次抗议示威中演唱，之后她参与了一张圣诞专辑 ” The Littlest Angel “（小天使）的演唱，这张专辑于2001年发布。2002年在东海岸音乐典礼上，Aselin Debison被索尼唱片的Peter Gelb看中，同年发布了她的第一张专辑《Sweet is the Melody》。2002年的10月份，伊丽莎白二世访问加拿大，Aselin Debison被选中在Roy Thomson Hall为女皇演唱。加拿大前总理Jean Chrétien也曾称其为下一个Céline Dion。

2005年3月，Aselin Debison发布了她的第二张专辑《Bigger than Me》，其中的 “Life“、”Faze“在轻摇滚和流行乐电台很受欢迎，这盘专辑里的歌曲是Azi在Dave Thomson和制片人Thomas “Tawgs” Salter的协助下自己写的，随着这盘专辑的发布，她也成功的完成了从凯尔特民谣向流行乐的转变。

Aselin Debison有一个姐姐和一只宠物狗，她说如果有一天不能唱歌的话，最想做的事就是打篮球。第二张专辑发布后，Azi就在公众的视野中消失了，她的最近一次演出是在Rita MacNeil’s Cape Breton。她目前在Nova Scotia的St. Francis Xavier University上学，并有一个男朋友叫Jonathan Ettinger。

尽管本次推荐的专辑《Sweet is the Melody》里面的歌曲都是翻唱的，但这并不代表Aselin Debison就丧失了自己的风格，经过重新编曲、演绎的经典歌曲再加上她那略显嫩稚、清新的嗓音，使这盘专辑广受好评。其中的 “Over the Rainbow“、”What a Wonderful World“就在韩国和日本非常流行。不过我个人还是很喜欢Azi翻唱的 “Moonlight Shadow“，可能跟我一直喜欢这首曲子有关吧，无论是什么版本的Moonlight Shadow我都喜欢听！
