其实今天介绍的这张专辑早在2007年就已经和绝大多数乐迷见面了，但是很可惜直到08年才终于发行，可谓是多灾多难啊！在其首张专辑《Awake》发行后将近一年的时间，Secondhand Serenade重回乐坛带来了他令人期待的第二张专辑《A Twist In My Story》。这张名称恰如其分的专辑在Secondhand Serenade（又称John Vesely）标志性的自然歌喉上添加了交响元素同时配以完整乐队的支持。

这张专辑请到了业界两大重量级制作人Danny Lohner（Nine Inch Nails、Angels & Airwaves）与Butch Walker（Fall Out Boy、All American Rejects）与John合作，共同挑战结合不同风格的歌曲制作。虽然John 知道就个人艺术生涯发展而言，制作这些歌曲需要一个新的环境，但他仍留心不让他的周遭改变他内在的艺术气质。
